Shipping policy

Space Saving Bed ships within the United States. All orders are shipped directly from our manufacturers' warehouses.

Order confirmation

When an order is placed, an order confirmation email is sent automatically. This confirms the order has been received and the payment method has been pre-authorized.

We then contact the manufacturer to confirm the item is in stock and available to ship. If the item is available, the charge is processed and the order is submitted for shipment. If the item is on backorder or unavailable, the pre-authorization is voided and we contact the customer by email.

Processing and transit times

Shipping: In-stock orders are shipped within 5 business days of the order date.

Transit: Standard curbside freight typically arrives 5–15 business days after the order ships.

Tracking information is emailed within 24 hours of the order leaving the warehouse. If tracking has not arrived within 6 business days of the order date, contact sales@spacesavingbed.com.

All delivery dates are estimates provided by our manufacturers and freight carriers. They are not fixed commitments, and they can change without notice due to manufacturing schedules, carrier capacity, and warehouse availability. Estimated ship dates listed on individual product pages take precedence over the general ranges above.

Shipping options

Curbside delivery — free on every order The carrier delivers to the curb outside the delivery address. The customer is responsible for moving the item from the curb into the home. This is the standard service on all orders.

Threshold delivery The item is brought to a porch, garage, or other sheltered area at the entrance to the home. Availability and cost vary by product and are shown at checkout.

White glove delivery A two-person team brings the item to the room of choice, performs minor assembly, and removes all packaging from the home.

White glove delivery is available for free on Innovation Living sofa beds. Threshold delivery is only for the Leto Muro beds. All shipping options are displayed at checkout before placing your order.

Delivery appointments

Freight carriers schedule a delivery appointment by phone before arrival. Someone must be present at the scheduled appointment to receive and sign for the item.

If no one is available at the scheduled appointment, the carrier will return the item to the warehouse, and the customer is responsible for redelivery charges.

Inspecting your delivery

It is crucial that you inspect your shipment once it arrives and before signing any delivery paperwork.

Before signing:

  1. Inspect every box carefully. Look for crushing, punctures, tears, scratches, or water marks.
  2. Write a specific note on the Bill of Lading describing any damage found — where it is and what it looks like. When possible, please avoid just putting "Damaged" unless you must. Instead, use specific language such as "Puncture, 6 inches, top right corner of box 2."
  3. If you suspect damage but cannot open the boxes, write "possible hidden damage" on the Bill of Lading before signing.
  4. If the driver is willing to wait, open the boxes and inspect the contents before signing.

This is because if damage is not noted on the delivery papers at the time of delivery, the freight claim cannot be filed, and resolution options are severely limited. This is a carrier requirement, not a Space Saving Bed policy, and we have no ability to override it.

After delivery:

Open all boxes and inspect the contents as soon as possible. If damage is found, photograph the damage, the box, and the SKU label, and email them to sales@spacesavingbed.com within 24 hours of delivery. We file the insurance claim on the customer's behalf.

Damage reported more than 24 hours after delivery may not be eligible for a freight claim.

Refusing Delivery:

There are cases where you should refuse delivery. However, unless the damage appears severe or to be affecting the entire package in multiple spots, please do not refuse the delivery. We can ship replacement parts much quicker than having to ship out another bed.

Address changes

Address changes requested after an order has been processed or shipped may cause delays. We will request the change with the carrier, but carriers charge reconsignment fees for address changes in transit, and those fees are the customer's responsibility.

Where we ship

We ship within the continental United States.

We do not ship internationally. A small number of products are available for delivery to Canada; where this applies, the checkout will accept the shipping address.

Shipping delays

Delays in the furniture supply chain are common and largely outside our control. Manufacturing backlogs, freight capacity, and warehouse scheduling all affect delivery timing.

We monitor open orders and contact customers when we learn of a delay. If a shipping estimate changes, we will tell you rather than wait for you to ask.
